Brianna tries to appear bigger than she actually is with her whole “The Breeze” persona and succeeds because I forget sometimes that she’s probably(?) the youngest of the “soldiers” of the FAYZ (Sam, Edilio, Dekka, etc.)
This makes me think, part of the reason she’s so into “The Breeze” persona is because it makes her feel strong and safe, it could be a safety bubble that protects her from all things unsafe, whether that be mental or physical threats.

Is it too early to bring up the fact that other workers are also treated in a demeaning and degrading way but no one tries to ban those jobs?
Or that sex workers who get to work for decent pay with proper boundaries are no worse off than other workers who get to work for decent pay with proper boundaries?
Or that making sex work illegal means that sex slaves can’t report what happened to them without risking being put in prison?
“Other workers” don’t have a high risk of getting infected by life-threatening sexually transmitted diseases. They don’t have the high risk of being raped or assaulted or murdered on the job like sex workers do. And how would making sex work illegal would stop sex slaves from reporting what happened to them??

I’ve been working on some comic concepts for the first book in the series since like April but i forgot about the project for like two months straight my bad…… anyway its done now!! This was my first time doing comic page stuff so i hope the layout, text etc is alright :3
The amputation scene page was the first one I drew out and I’m still getting adjusted to drawing with a Wacom tablet, which is why the lineart is a little messier on that one compared to the rest jsjskd. I gradually got better with it as I made my way through the other pages :]
